Multi-Dimensional Blended Learning Style
Our multi-dimensional “Blended Learning” approach combines multiple delivery media that are designed to complement each other and promote learning and application-learned behaviour. Blended learning mixes higher quality of mentee experience through face-to-face classrooms and structured “on-the-job” training from experienced mentors, live e-learning, various event-based activities and self-paced web-based courses on our Competency Management System. Collaborative learning, on the other hand, implies a more dynamic communication among many learners that brings about knowledge sharing.
Our state-of-the-art facilities
Workshop & Laboratories
Well-designed and fully equipped workshops are set up for training the engineering and nautical cadets. The workshops are equipped with lathe machines, shaping machines, milling machines, welding and gas cutting equipment, plumbing and carpentry equipment’s, bench and pipe fitting equipment, electric and electronic controls, hydraulics and pneumatics trainer etc. DWARKADHISH MARITIME ACADEMY follows a very high standard of Safety and any candidate council to be flouting the safety norms will be reprimanded
Ship Forecastle Area and Seamanship Labs
Academy has constructed a ship forecastle area replica with a working mooring winch to educate the cadets in mooring operations. Academy has also set up few Seamanship labs and LSA/ FFA lab with various equipment and replica models to facilitate training
Ship Handling Simulator
A ‘Bridge Simulator’ has been set up to give hands-on training to the nautical cadets. Here, besides doing regular ‘Steering Practice’, they will learn about function of various navigational equipment like Radar, Echo Sounder, ECDIS etc.
Library and Net-lab
DWARKADHISH MARITIME has a well-equipped Library with technical books on all marine related subjects to enhance the knowledge of the students. An [-library has been set up which allows them access to the in-house Knowledge Management System and the MEETS – STCW programme which has been specially designed to cater to their needs. DWARKADHISH MARITIME has a fully equipped computer lab with internet facilities for training the cadets. Cadets are also permitted the use of these computers for personal email/netsurfing use during leisure hours.
Wheel House and Light House
Academy has built a replica of a modern Merchant Ship’s Wheel-house. Here, cadets practice handling of various Bridge Equipment & learn the basics of bridge watch-keeping routines. An operational Light house model has been installed near the lake shore which allows cadets to practice identification of Light Houses from the characteristics of light.
Athletics & Recreation
We understand the importance of recreation in a cadet’s overall growth and professional development. For an elevated experience, AEMA has various leisure activities in the campus such as basketball, football, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, carom and chess. The recreation room is fully equipped with a flat-screen TV and DTH facilities, so that cadets may relax, unwind and socialize here at the end of the day.
For the physical well-being of our students, we have a state-of-the-art gymnasium in its campus. Additionally, a safe swimming pool is also provided for regular lessons to cadets under the guidance of qualified instructors.
Boarding and Lodging Facilities
As our campus caters to residential programs, we are fully equipped with excellent hostel facilities which comprise of twin/triple sharing rooms. For added security and discipline, full-time wardens are present along with qualified medical supervisors. The canteen/food service area is a mixed cuisine hall and the diet is planned to be balanced, wholesome, delicious and nutritious for each student.
